This document forms an addendum to the Trajectory for Low Energy Buildings and outlines the opportunities for improving existing buildings, both commercial and residential.

Sustainable building design should consider durability, affordability, resource conservation, intra and intergenerational social equity aspects, and stakeholder’s perspective throughout its service life; this research has applied life cycle sustainability assessment (LCSA) framework to estimate the sustainability performance in terms of a single score, and to identify avenues for sustainability improvement strategies of buildings.

This document provides a comprehensive review of the scientific evidence on health problems associated with building moisture and biological agents.

The Strategy is the culmination of considerable analysis, consultation with experts, industry and the public, and an extensive body of original research.
