A summary of applicable cover, for contracts signed on or after 28 October 2016.

This information is intended as a guide only as to the requirement for payment of an insurance premium and cover for loss suffered in respect of different types of building work for contracts entered into on or after 28 October 2016.

The Queensland Home Warranty Scheme is a not-for-profit statutory insurance scheme funded through premium payments and administered by the QBCC to cover homeowners for loss suffered if their contractor fails to complete contracted works or rectify defects.

For Domestic Building Projects Not Exceeding $3,300.

This contract has been developed specifically to assist homeowners and demolition contractors to record their agreement regarding the demolition of a home (e.g. following a natural disaster such as a flood or cyclone).

Your contractor must give you this guide before you sign a contract priced at or over $20,000.

Sets out the requirements for the design, installation and commissioning of heated water services using drinking water or rainwater or a combination thereof; includes aspects of the installation from, and including, the valve(s) on the cold water inlet to any cold water storage tank or water heater and the downstream fixtures and fittings; applies to new installations as well as alterations, additions and repairs to existing installations.
