The 2008 edition of AS 2658 is amended as follows.

Specifies minimum construction and safety requirements for LP Gas portable and mobile appliances supplied with gas at vapour pressure, performance test methods, and requirements for markings and information to be provided in instructions.

Specifies requirements and sets out recommendations for the selection, safe use and maintenance of industrial fall-arrest systems and devices based on the use of safety harnesses (including belts), horizontal life lines and rails, fall-arrest devices, and associated lanyards, connectors, anchorages and fittings.

The 2008 edition of AS 2658 is amended as follows.

Sets out workshop safety requirements for dealing with Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) fuelled engines and LNG fuel unloading methods, and requirements for CNG and LP Gas fuelled vehicles.

Sets out requirements for hygienic production and transportation of meat and meat products for human consumption that are derived from animals of the bovine, bubaline, camelidae, caprine, cervidae, ovine, porcine and soliped species slaughtered other than in wild state.

Sets out requirements for the supply of electricity at low-voltage by wiring distribution systems to power consuming devices used for accommodation, entertainment or display purposes within concessions, tents, living quarters and other structures, associated with events with a maximum duration of four weeks.

Describes a single test for grading building materials on the basis of ignition tendency, flame spread, heat development and tendency to produce smoke; apparatus, test procedure and indices for grading are provided.

Specifies the requirements for materials suitable for use as a pliable building membrane (also known as underlay) when it is intended to act as a sarking membrane or thermal insulation, or a vapour barrier in a domestic, commercial or industrial building. It does not specify the thermal insulation requirements, nor does it include materials for use in air handling ducts.

Specifies minimum requirements for design, installation and commissioning of air-handling and water systems in buildings to assist in the control of microorganisms. It does not apply to sole occupancy dwellings, nor is it intended for the control of the wide range of discomfort symptoms which may affect the occupants of some buildings.
